Come to the launch of a fantastic Birmingham-wide campaign and help make Birmingham a friendlier city!
The Make Someone’s Day campaign is promoting habits that help people connect with others in their local neighbourhood, to help reduce isolation and loneliness in people across the city.
Why do we need a campaign like Make Someone’s Day?
- By 2020, almost 57,000 people aged 65 plus will be living alone in Birmingham, increasing their risk of being isolated.
- Almost half the people living here (49%) say their neighbours are like strangers to them.
- 91% of UK adults think small moments of connection can make a difference to someone who feels lonely.
We will launch our campaign in front of the Library of Birmingham, at Centenary Square on Friday 14:30pm on 20 March 2020.
