Celebrating dance in the UK.

Back for a seventh year, the One Dance UK Awards will take place on Friday 24 January 2025 at The Patrick Studio, Birmingham Hippodrome, Thorp Street, Birmingham, B5 4TB, as part of Talking, Thinking, Dancing; a larger programme of events (from 22-24 January) hosted by FABRIC, sampling choreographic research and performance work plus networking and discourse events (for further details please visit Talking Thinking Dancing – FABRIC ).

The One Dance UK Awards unite and showcase the people who have made an impact on the vibrant UK dance landscape.

Championing the excellent work of dance artists, teachers, practitioners, educators, schools, choreographers, companies, venues, scientists, and writers, our Awards celebrate all those who make our dance ecology thrive.

Taking place at the start of the event, from 4:45pm – 5:45pm, is a panel discussion with partner organisations FABRIC, People Dancing and Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage, and a senior representative from Equity exploring dance in the Midlands, looking at the current state of dance in the UK, it’s future, and how partners plan to approach mapping the sector, and its economic impact. Come and hear how you can get involved in this work and how we ensure it can be repeated over time to provide meaningful insight into important trends affecting your work. We would love to see you there!

Attendance to these events is by pre-booked tickets only and we ask that bookings are made by 9 January 2025.
