Dance the afternoon away under the railway tracks at one of Birmingham’s original rave venues, the concrete-church-of-dance, Tunnel Club! Choose between two multi-sensory dance floors filled with club lighting (no strobes), adult dance music, bubbles, balloons, confetti cannons and snow foam!

• Two hours of music from Top UK Trance DJ Rob Tissera in Main Room and Snob-resident, Shaun Mynett spinning Indie upstairs

• Giant colouring-in mural
• Baby chillout space with mats and small ball pool

• Licensed bar and tuck shop available (additional charge)

NEWS: this event is part of the Camp Bestival warmup tour! With a joint birthday for us both (10th for BFLF/15th for Camp B) to celebrate there will be even more festival magic to enjoy at the award winning family raves. One lucky attending family will win a ticket to the full Camp Bestival event in the summer!

All ages are very welcome, but activities are designed with 0-8 years olds in mind. Adult-only groups are not permitted and ‘Babes in arms’ are free, but will still require a ticket. Dads are invited too!

IMPORTANT INFO (but a tad boring)

Stairs/Accessibility

The second room is upstairs with no lift available. This is accessed via a single staircase, please keep right to help traffic. The ground floor has an accessible toilet and can be reached with no stairs into the venue. Please bear this in mind when you book as a refund on the day will not be possible.

Lighting

This is a rave! Expect low levels of lighting (some areas very low) but all risk assessed prior to the event. Lighter areas will be available for a break if needed and rest assured all exits are stewarded.

Toilets and nappy-changing facilities

There are toilets on all floors and changing tables and/or mats will be available.

Prams/buggies/general kid stuff

There is very limited storage space available, please leave prams behind if possible. Valuables (including kids) are the parent’s responsibility. Prams will not be allowed on the dance floor. Slings are encouraged and cool!

What’s the refund policy?

There is a no refund policy. If you are unable to attend you may sell your tickets to someone else. If well in advance of a sold-out event please email sophie@bigfishlittlefishevents.co.uk so we can try and match you with someone on the waiting list.

Safety

Adults remain responsible for their children at all times

Adult only groups are not admitted. A max of 3 children per adult in a family.

The event will be busy. The dancefloor is for adults and children to dance together.

For indoor events, low lighting/club lighting rigs (no strobes) are used. BFLF Crew will monitor the stairs.

Please be aware that events are standing/dancing with limited seating

Each event is stewarded and risk assessed in advance

Large Groups

If attending as a large party please ensure one adult to two children minimum. We will refuse entry to groups where there is inadequate supervision. If there are more than 4 adults per child in your group please email sophiebflf@gmail.com for pre-approval before buying tickets

Each member of your group must have a ticket and pre-walking infants are free (but ticketed). Please purchase bear in mind the age your child will be at the time the event will take place. It will cost more on the door (if tickets are available)

Sound Level

The music level is set and monitored throughout to abide by WHO guidelines. Though quieter than at adult events, it is still loud enough to feel like you are at a club. Most parents do not use ear defenders on their children but if yours are particularly sensitive to noise or if you want them to nap then you might want to consider it.

Photography/Marketing

We may photograph or film small parts of the event and by entering you are giving your permission for these to be used for BFLF promotion purposes

Just a reminder…

Please be aware that BFLF is designed to provide a family-friendly, authentic club experience and is not a traditional children’s party or disco. There will be no kid’s music, games, or DJ shout outs. The effect is to give families unity on the dancefloor – dancing together. DJs will be announced in advance of each party via Twitter and Facebook but may be subject to unavoidable change.
