Peer Gynt is a prankster, an adventurer and a rogue, and everyone knows some of the wonderfully memorable music that Grieg wrote to accompany his exploits. But tonight Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla has another story to tell – a beautiful rarity from her native Lithuania – and another dimension to share, as Birmingham-born artist Norman Perryman creates colours and images to complement the music, live in concert.
CBSO+, 5.45pm: Rokas Zubovas, great-grandson of tonight’s featured composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, talks about and performs his grandfather’s piano compositions.
