When the brilliant, young trombonist Peter Moore won BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2008 he was, at the age of 12, the youngest ever winner of the award. When he was appointed co-principal trombone of the London Symphony Orchestra in 2014 he again made history as the LSO’s youngest ever member. He offers a programme that shows off his brilliance for his recital debut in Birmingham, including a new piece commissioned specially for him from Roxanna Panufnik, a composer with whom Birmingham has a long standing relationship.
Peter Moore is nominated by the Barbican Centre London as an ECHO Rising Star.
Pre-concert conversation at 6:15pm with Peter Moore and Jonathan Ware. This conversation will be signed by a British Sign Language interpreter.
